Abstract: 

This thesis examines the field of meaning in language Mandailaing hand activity. The purpose of this study was to (1) assess lexemes in a language that states Mandailaing hand activity, (2) description of the meaning of generic components and specific meanings contained by each of the lexeme, and (3) a description of groups and subgroups lexemes included into the meaning of hand activity by components of meaning generic and specific meaning. The data of this study is the number of lexemes Mandailaing language which implies the activity of hand. Data sources Data mencakuo oral and written data. Written data obtained from Angkola Dictionary/Mandailaing-Indonesia prepared by Samin Ahmad Siregar. Meanwhile, the data obtained from a variety of oral conversations that occurred in the community in the district Mandailaing Mandailing Natal. 

The method used in this research is descriptive method. This method establishes the requirement that a study be done on the basis of the fact that there are so defining a given in accordance with the actual situation. Correspondingly, as the work is done step three stages, uaitu (1) data collection, (2) processing or penganalisian data, and (3) presentation. 

The findings of the study explained that the meaning of field hands dibicarakn activity in this study include the lexeme-lexeme whistleblower activity in language Mandailaing hand. Analysis of a set of verbal lexemes that express meaning in language Mandailaing hand activity is classified based on the components of meaning that are shared to form some submedan narrower scope. Lexeme-lexeme hand whistleblower activity can be classified into groups of twenty or submedan. The division is based on the purpose of the activity. Submedan twentieth or the group, namely (1) holds, (2) touching), (3) take, (4) carry, (5) put, (6) throwing, (7) members, (8) accept, (9) open, (10) close, (11) interesting, (12) pressing, (13) hurt, (14) destroyed, (15) roll, (16) calling, (17) drive, (18) inhibit, (19) menyalam, and (20) points. 

In the analysis, each submedan still divided into several submedan bias and bias may also broken down into sub-submedan smaller again, depends on its semantic traits. Analysis of the terrain and submedan meaning in language activity Mandailaing hand and read in its entirety can be described in the thesis.
