"Ari Poken" 

First as a child at home, often during the day with my friends, we all bathe in Batang Gadis, is a major river in Mandailing. This river is not far from my house when it's on the Pasar Kotanopan-Mandailing. But that's the thrill in our lives, almost every day a fight broke out among us who generally are due to minor problems. For example, my friend named Lagut often laughed out loud when our friends who come to school late. Today they fight, but maybe tomorrow they're friends again.

When I was school friends together in elementary school 1 (SD1) that is located right near the SD 4 in Pasar Kotanopan. Therefore learning atmosphere on Saturday was a little different because on that day in progress 'ari poken' in Kotanopan. Many people from the village-village bringing wares to Kotanopan other, and so are the people who will buy it. My heart was happy to "ari poken" because there will be plenty of good food for sale, including wet cakes and fruits. 

After school we usually do not go straight home, but we went along to have a look variety and uniqueness in 'ari poken' it. If there is money we will eat 'pocal' (pecal), 'lomang' (lemang), pastries, or other foods that are sold in 'ari poken'.
